MURALS & TROMPE L’OEIL

Murals on the walls in the halls and vignettes in each room of the Pediatric Unit at Lancaster General Hospital enabled Clough to merge her love of painted walls with her passion for the environment, particularly at water’s edge.

Fish, turtles and jellyfish appear to glide 3-dimensionally throughout the blue-green waters, Leggy long-beaked birds and horseshoe crabs decorate creamy sand.

"Children are drawn in by the art..."
— Jackie Hennegar, Unit nurse manager —

"The biggest fun for us was seeing other people’s interaction with her. Patients would just sit
there and watch her paint.
.."
—S. Jurgelski, Lancaster New Era —

Aside from Hospital vignettes, the examples below show the artist’s work on a Child's wall, Staircase, Powder rooms and a front hall.
